Robert's Wallpaper Installation is exactly what it sounds like: Robert Simpson, hanging wallpaper across the Portland metro, with his own name on every job. Robert learned the trade the traditional way — years as a finish painter and drywall finisher before specializing in wallcovering, where surface prep separates work that lasts from work that fails.
Since founding the company in 2017, Robert has papered hundreds of walls on both sides of the Willamette — Craftsman living rooms in Irvington, grasscloth dining rooms in Lake Oswego, hotel corridors downtown, and clinic waiting rooms in Happy Valley. The through-line in all of it is a plumb-line habit of mind: measure first, prep properly, hang true, and walk the wall under raking light before calling it finished.

Three Habits That Define Every Job
Prep like it will be inspected. Nobody photographs primer, but every failed wallpaper job traces back to skipped prep. We skim, sand, seal, and prime to the wallcovering manufacturer's warranty spec — on every wall, every time, already included in your fixed quote.
Quote it straight. Your written quote states the full scope and the full price. No allowances that balloon, no "conditions found on site" surprises. If we discover something genuinely unforeseeable, we stop and talk before a dollar changes.
Finish means finished. A job ends with a raking-light walkthrough with you, seams and corners inspected together, furniture back, floors clean, and offcuts labelled and left for future repairs. If anything we hung ever lifts under normal conditions, we return and fix it free.
